Last lift...post Corinthian Canal

We had a wonderful time in Poros and really didn't want to leave. We met some amazing friends but know we must move onto towards the wedding destination. We headed for Athens because we were scheduled for a bit of a repair. Our shaft that comes out of the bottom of the boat was making a lot of noise. We unfortunately had to be lifted in order for the men to fix it. It took about a day and a night then we were onto the canal. Now last year we passed through the canal but in the opposite direction. It always amazes me that the canal is man made. The walls are so high but it is very narrow.

We stopped in a little town and tied up alongside. We were both very tired and headed to bed. The following morning Joseph headed into town for bread. We left and then went to a little island called trazani for a swim then we continued onto mesolongeno. We had a nice dinner out then one night in the harbor because we were on a mission to reach Kefalonia.
